Rebecca Pizzolatto teaches classes in Isshin Ryu Karate for Children and Adults for Team Hammer MMA at Finish Line Fitness Center in Coplay PA. She also teaches onsite and offsite Self-Defense Seminars and Workshops in the Lehigh Valley. Sensei Becky is also available for private lessons in Isshin Ryu Karate, Okinawan Karate Weapons, and Self-Defense.

Becky Pizzolatto has over 19 years of experience in martial arts. Even before beginning Isshin Ryu Karate, she had a strong desire to learn self-defense and completed the Rape, Aggression, Defense (R.A.D.) Training for women at Northampton Community College. In 1998, she began studying Isshin Ryu Karate under Sensei Rodney S. Guignet at the Suburban North Family YMCA. Sensei Becky is a member of the Okinawan Isshinryu Karate and Kobudo Association (OIKKA) and the International Association of Martial Artists (IAMA). Over the years, Sensei Becky has studied with many noted Isshin Ryu masters, including Grand Master Angi Uezu, Shihan Gary Alexander, Master John Devine, Hanshi N. Morgan Woods, Master Tsuyoshi Uechi, Kyoshi Dayne Walz, and Renshi Rodney S. Guignet. Sensei Becky earned her first degree Black Belt under Sensei Guignet in October 2001.

In May 2003, Rebecca Pizzolatto joined Sensei Rodney S. Guignet in opening LVIRK Training Center, a martial arts facility in Catasauqua, PA serving clients in the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas. When the martial arts center first opened, her primary role was managing the office and assisting Sensei Guignet with the Isshin Ryu Karate classes. In August 2003, she was promoted to second degree Black Belt by Kyoshi Dayne Walz. After earning her second degree Black Belt, Sensei Becky began teaching her own Isshin Ryu Karate classes. For her dedication to the Karate students and the Martial Arts center, she received the 2003 Okinawan Karate Kai Instructor of the Year Award and the 2004 International Association of Martial Artists (IAMA) Instructor of the Year Award. For her continued effort in Isshin Ryu Karate, she received her third degree Black Belt in October 2006 under Renshi Rodney S Guignet and her fourth degree Black Belt in December 2012 under Sensei John Devine.

In addition to her Isshin Ryu Karate training, Sensei Becky Pizzolatto has also briefly studied Ashtanga Yoga, Shorin Ryu Weapons, Muay Thai Kickboxing, and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). She has competed and placed in kata, weapons, and sparring divisions at many local Karate tournaments. She has also competed in one amateur Kickboxing fight and one submission grappling tournament.

In 2006 and 2007, Rebecca Pizzolatto wrote a self-defense column, Your Best Defense, for The Whitehall-Catasauqua News until the final issue of the newspaper was circulated.

In July 2007, Sensei Becky Pizzolatto attended the Martial Arts SuperShow in Las Vegas, Nevada. At the SuperShow, she had the opportunity to attend training sessions with some of the top names in Jiu Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), such as Former UFC® Champions Matt Hughes and Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell, The Pit owner John Hackleman, EliteXC Middleweight Champion "Ruthless" Robbie Lawler, American Top Team (ATT) founder Ricardo Liborio and several members of American Top Team including Cole Miller, Din Thomas, and Jeff Monson, and the Machado Brothers - Carlos and Rigan. She also attended training sessions with Martial Arts World Champions Ernie Reyes and Bill "Superfoot" Wallace, San Shou Champion Cung Le, and Xtreme Martial Arts (XMA) founder Mike Chat.

Sensei Becky Pizzolatto also had the privilege of meeting Debi Purcell, one of the pioneers of women's Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and founder of FighterGirls.com. Sensei Becky was one of the web developers who worked on FighterGirls.com with Debi Purcell.

Rebecca Pizzolatto's background also includes a B.S. in Chemistry, Mathematics, and Computer Science from Desales University (formerly, Allentown College of Saint Francis de Sales) and an M.S. in Physical Chemistry from Lehigh University. After graduating from Lehigh University, she worked as a Design and Development Engineer in the commercial lighting division of Lutron Electronics Co., Inc. for four and a half years. In 2004-2005, she taught Web Design & Web Programming to local high school students at Lehigh Career and Technical Institute (LCTI). Currently, she works for Strategic Solutions as a Web Developer and Programmer.

In 2003, Rebecca Pizzolatto founded her own web design and development company, Bushido Enterprises, Inc. Over the years she has done freelance work for many companies, including Lehigh University, Lutron Electronics, FighterGirls.com, and Althouse Karate.

Sensei Becky's goal is to help others, especially other women, realize the excitement and benefits of Martial Arts training. She wants to help every student attain their goals in Martial Arts and in life.
